Mark H Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Lotus Cup UK will kick off with a 90 minute race on the Saturday. Simon Deacon and Andy Napier are the reigning champions in the SuperSport and Production categories respectively. A capacity grid is expected, with V6 Cup, 2-Eleven, Exige Cup and Open Class cars racing for overall and SuperSport honours. The 2013 season ended on the same 300 circuit and just like that event, the extra distance is expected to add further spice to the race. There’s even more Lotus content on the Sunday, with the inaugural Elise Trophy championship round providing the main highlight. Both new and familiar names are expected to make up the full grid for the 20-minute races. The day will also see the second round of the new Lotus Cup UK Speed Championship. A capacity entry should provide a thrilling set of qualifying-style laps as the sprint competitors put on a show that should prove to be every bit as good as the racing. Seven Lotus track sessions will complete a superb weekend for enthusiasts of the marque. Adding to the fun, anyone turning up to the event in a Lotus can sample the circuit for themselves by taking part in a parade lap during the lunch break on Sunday, as well as benefit from a Lotus parking area. Tickets will go on sale from www.lotrdc.com/calendar/5-6-april-snetterton-300-10848 at just £6 each including postage and packing for Lotus enthusiasts. Entry is also free for children aged 12 and under. This post has been promoted to an article
