funny that, i looked at the VX220 turbo and test drove one first, impressed...................... but then kept coming back to the badge, it would still be a vauxhall on resale and, as you have already done, would need some money spent to improve the handling and stopping with its heavier engine and gearbox than the R, is it 70kgs; thats only 6 kg less than me! oh and being a bit of a wus; it didnt have air con, leci windows , central locking  the car sure does look good though and i'm sure goes like the proverbial, what rubber keeps it on the road?

R1R's and very impressed with them as well, work well from cold, fantastic in the dry, and good even in torrential rain! - though you'd be certifiable if you tried to find the limits in the wet, you'd definatly find a hedge first!!!

We own a late S2.5 SC having previously owned a 111S (Rover 160) then a 2004 111R we both love driving the SC it's far more refined than our Cup 260, it maybe my age but only seem to notice the SC when rev-ing the engine; when at motorway speed/throttling off don't get the SC whine.

To be honest we both love the sound of the SC, the car is a big improvement over the R we had appearing more planted and balanced, with better brakes, all round a much better car.
