Bod
I had just set off on a 3,000 mile 'Tour de France' this August, when, just 5 miles from home, the right front indicator on my Elise 111S pops right out of the body and starts flapping around in front of me - at 70 mph! Closer inspection showed that the plastic retaining clip that is part of the one-piece moulding had broken in half. This clip is the only thing holding the indicator in the body, so I had to tape it in place for the holiday. My car has covered 23K miles and both left and right indicators have broken clips. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, is there a fix, or do I need to buy new indicators, at about £50 each? If replacement is the only option, could anyone recommend where to buy them from? Cheers, Bod. PS: The holiday was brilliant - lots of windy roads with not too much traffic, especially in the Alps! Fiona
There was an official recall for this - take it to a dealer.
jez_s
Isn't there a recall search thingy on the Lotus main website, you put your chassis number in and it'll tell you wether there's any outstanding recalls.
