Inlet Manifold

Hi guys

 

I've got a 97 S1 and I've noticed that the inlet manifold is different to the standard one (attachment). Can't show you mine as I dropped my digi camera in a jug of beer on Sat! It's alloy, although a very sim shape to the one which is seems to be standard (mgf one).

 

Any ideas?!

If it is squarer like the one in the picture below it is the uprated one which will probably mean the car has a few more bhp than 118.

Yes, that's the one, but mine's in black. So it 's a little more powerful then? Good!

Hello, yet again

 

Mines got a plastic throttle body on this PTP thing. Would it be best to add an alloy one to it? Can't believe it's got a £600 inlet manifold!

That looks the same as mine in the picture...

 

Alloy inlet manifold will sacrifice torque, so not necessarily a good plan... more top end grunt mind
