paintshield Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 HI I did try and find that Black Stuff for you but no-one admitted to its existence in the trade AS for Removing Film, for gods sake use heat lots of it, to take off any PPF, best tool is a commercial kitchen Steam Cleaner, which you can hire from HSS for about a tenner, heat it up then lift a corner, keeping your fingers away from the hot part (pays to remember that or it will be tears at bed time) get the nozzle close to where the glue is still stuck to the paint and use the jet to prise away Gently. Remember the car may have been resprayed at some point and the bodyshop may have replaced the component, so you need to minimise the stress on the possible repair.
