DunkHSP Posted August 17, 2005 Share Posted August 17, 2005 As I have mentioned before I used to work for a big coaters and with most things you get cowboys and you get those who know what they are doing. There is certainly plenty of places that will coat wheels for cash (Saturday morning beer money) and they will be shit. A very good point that many bring up is the issue of baking your wheels at high temps (some rather shocking photos knocking around). Again if the coater is any good they will know this. There is such a thing as low bake powder although I'm not sure about the finish, colour range or durability. The company I used to work for made a good bit of money 'officially' refurbing alloys, they were all coated and clear laquered, some just stripped and laquered.
