Theres a 1.8 turbo conversion from the Audi TT 225 that has two options...250bhp or 300bhp. Ive beeen told the 250 is best as its much more responsive and less lag...basically the 300bhp option is for the drag racers.

Any info/experiences on this conversion? Its cheaper than the K20 but is it a viable alternative?

Similar thread on SELOC at the moment.

Been in front & behind Bernard when the afterburners kick in - monstrous pace.

Engine & gearbox heavier than a N/A K, so adviseable to spend some money on suspension: stiffer rear springs or ideally Nitrons as well. Oh, yes, and brakes!

Its a sweet conversion eh Gareth :( Imagine the horror on other drivers faces when they hear the tell tale wastegate flutter at the lights hehe! NA conversions in the lil Elise is great but a turbo lump is just...well...EVIL! :D

Tar for the info Beefcake tar!

250 bhp is more suited to road use - by Bernards own admission.

I am however not a fan of Turbo conversions (or cars for that matter) so would go for a Honda... the CR box in the Honda does make up the lack of power and torque in comparison and IMHO Honda is the best.

Wait a short while if you're interested, Honda conversions are getting a lot cheaper - see other thread running on here.
