strees
On the look out for an S1 - £10,000 - £12,000 bracket. No greens/blacks preferably bright colour. Like chrome orange but the only one I have seen is *extremly* overpriced at PS. If you know of anyone selling, let me know. Cheers Simon

GCCK
Trust Jon to pop up on a thread about serial Elise ownership! Be great to have you back in the fold though Simon. What's the term they use in the legal profession? Oh yes, Recidivist! Lee is trying to sell his Azure S1. Ebay auction just closed at £9K with reserve not met, so he's likely to be open to offers. Think he was asking £10.5 before?
strees
Yep ... expected Jon to pop up Not sure about what colour and mileage to go for ... will keep the Azure Blue in mind. Fancy something a bit *different* though (my passat is the VW version of azure blue)
malbon
hey..what are you lot talking about ?? Simon...don't fuss about colour - go for condition and upgrades - IMHO there isn't a bad colour for the S1 - its a beautiful car..period. There was a really nice Orange 111s on Autotrader and on pistonheads about a month ago - going for just over 13k but im sure it didnt sell - email piston ted and see if you can source the advert - looked beautiful and id have had it had i not bought my new one. GCCK
What's nice about buying your second Elise is that it's not a scary process at all. The first time can be a bit daunting as everything is so different from a conventional tin box you have few frames of reference. Second time around, though, you know exactly what you're looking for. Thats fair enough I guess as its a lot of money - but its nice to rely on your own knowledge and instinct.
strees
Bang on the nail. I know what I would like, and what I can afford. Also know what to look out for. Just decided this weekend to start looking, and I am not going to rush straight into it like my last purchase. Whilst I was lucky, I was very naive and got away with it. Would *love* a 111s, but they are that little bit too much, unless there is a dogs danglies one for the right price. I *love* chrome orange, and fancy a brighter colour than last time (titanium). But TBH it is the condition, service history that matter
