central locking, electric windows

Anyone know if these options can be fitted to an Elise afterwards?! I use my Elise everyday and in some ways wish I'd waited for the new one's to come out because these options would be alot easier to live with day to day. My car is a 52 reg S2 so they will in theory fit, I think it could be costly though!

Sorry James, but have to ask Why??

I use my 99 S1 every day (20,000 miles/y) and have to say I can not think of an occasion when I would have enjoyed the drive more by having either of the above fitted.

Each to their own and if that is what you need then go for it. Have to say I do not carry pax every day and that may make a differance, also have good parking at both ends each day.

Question on the S2, does the heater pass hot air to the pax side, one reason the pax seat stays empty in the winter is no warm air on their side.

I'm sure the dealer would do it but its not gonna be cheap!

I can see the benefits of central locking if you have passengers but electric windows I'm not that fussed about.

If the roof is off then even central locking isnt really an issue.

I've heard quite alot of problems with the heaters on the s1 and s2, think i may have just been lucky though because mine is fine and warms up really quick! dont wanna speak too soon though!

Heater works great, even when I had the HGF a few weeeks ago, but still only on the drivers side. Warm her up and sit on the drive with your head in the well and the fan on full, you know, when it is louder than the engine, and have a feel around. Those nice vents on the pax side do fcuk all.

No problem with the heater on mine!

Warm air both sides & screen de-mists well too!

(Extra hot air on the passenger side when the wife sits there! ;) )

The one thing I do miss (as a daily BMW driver) is a filter on the air supply. Just to avoid those anoying bits of crap flying all over the dash top and into your face when opening the fresh air vents!

Small thing but would be better to have than central locking or electric windows IMHO B)

Don't all laugh at him for this, he's an alright bloke really.... B)

My heaters work fine too, both sides!

I have the filters and they work great. I tend to still get heat coming up onto the window from zorsts from cars infront when sitting in traffic (weird).

Vents work fine on both sides on mine too, although on the way to the run I still had bits of bloody stick and leaf coming out of them two months after meeting the hedge. Must have had half a tree in there I think. B)
