Power Socket Removal

How does the 12v power socket come out?

 

- Twist, then pull

- Just pull

- Press clip in from inside then pull

- Falls out on own

 

Don't want to damage it doing the wrong thing.

Hi Steve

 

You remove the gear knob, Handbrake sleeve and the screw at the rear of the gear linkage tunnel and the two in the sides by the gear lever. Lift the tunnel and the socket is held in with two clips that need to be depressed to allow the socket to be removed. If you are just removing the tunnel then you can just remove the plug with the wires attached.

 

What are you doing ? Fitting a quick shift?

Got the tunnel off already, just need to remove the socket.

I had to repaint mine after Scotland. The paint reacted with the mosquito repelant and all bubbled up.

 

If it does that to paint whats it doing tpo you!!!

 

P.S Fit the quick shift while youve got the tunnel off. One of the more worthwhile mod I think.

Is it really that good. Had considered the linkage kit and quick shift but wasn't sure if they were worth the money.
