Big Rides
I have had my S1 for about 4 months now- love it more it with each day that passes! I clean the car (nearly) every week- but have never done anything to the hood. Could others please advise as to how they care for theirs? Is there any special treatment / spray that I need to apply (how often?) to keep it waterproof? Many thanks, Regards, Ian
GrahamW
I brought some AutoGlyn stuff about 3 years ago, but never got round to using it. Apparantly its good.
Scott_Mac
LOL - is that cos its "effort" Graham? The Autoglym stuff is supposed to be good, also treating with Fabsil to make it waterproof is good Mine however has had nothing done to it
sinatra
I take care of it by not putting it in the boot if it's wet.
MattyB
I used the autoglym stuff. I mine had never been washed, and a good scrubbing with the supplied harsh sponge released loads of ming... Then, slap on *half* the bottle of sealant provided. Result? One clean, refreshed hood that that looked great and the rain just runs off. Pretty much eliminated my leaky roof too. 11 months later and its STILL pretty water resistant, though I think it could do with being sealed again for this winter. Chorlton
As MattyB said, I used the autoglym stuff and no more leaks in the rain.
