Bramble111s
I think my alarm keyfob must be running low on battery power, sometimes I need to be really close to the car for it to work. Is this a sign that I need to change, it has been like this a while.... Or will it last another 6 months like this? Also, what happens if it doesn't work at all! I guess I get in and press the stud thing to switch off tha alarm???? Anybody?
Mark H
Sounds like yer battery is dying. Press it against your chin if it isnt working, when you press the button and you will find the range will be much better. Failing that you can use the stick but a new battery would be better. Scott_Mac
You can use the stick... but apparantly you then have to get things reprogrammed by Lotus Get a new battery - about £1.50 from Halfrauds! The chin thing is very weird... saw the clip on Top Gear about it, most odd!
atte
ive used the stick thing loads of times (before i bothered to read the manual!!) and i never had to reprogram anything. I think that happens if you do it with the key in the ignition or something like that.
Mark H
Yup you dont have to get it reprogrammed by Lotus if you use the stick, sone it many times, as you say I think its only when the keys in the ignition. If you check your manual its tells you how to reprogram your key should you need to
MarkH
Yup - change the battery - £1.50 ish from Comet or wherever - but be careful when you put it back in - had to fiddle around with mine for about 15 bl**dy minutes to get it to work properly again.
