Scott_Mac
Arse Bad news mate... make sure it goes somewhere decent to be repaired. Place my Nick Whale in Brum or Hallcraft round the corner from Horizon. Nobody hurt i hope? What happened??? One plus point though... you won't have to worry too much about the mileage now
Kris H
Bad news Phil. If you have any choice about where it goes I'd recommend Nick Whale and City Centre Car Care, who they use, if it's an insurance job. Mine went there and they were excellent and sorted it out quickly and very well. Looked quite a mess in the first place as well. Assuming you're OK? Phil L
Im ok thanks...bit of whiplash....some chap coming the other way was trying to overtake a car on a corner. Where is this Nick Whale and City Centre Car Care ?
Scott_Mac
Nick Whale are based in Digbeth, not far from the Bullring, City Centre Car Care are a few doors further down... tell the insurance company where you want it to go, several folk recommend Hallcraft too. If its not your fault, worth investigating a decent hire car... a place that Sinclaires use provide you a car of similar level and claim back from the other insurers... a guy drove round in a Boxster while his car was being repaired
Kris H
Birmingham, although moving slightly soon. With mine the car was collected and transported from home to a holding compound and then to Nick Whale the next day. All covered by the insurance. CCCC and NW took care of it all - just saved the hassle. It's quite possible that the car looks far worse than it is. Mine looked dreadful but didn't have that much wrong with it, and a new front clam, screen and crash box, and a full geo sorted it out nicely and it definitely felt better afterwards than it had before. There is a link to NW in the links section on here. Best of luck with it. Kristian

steve-n
Phil, sorry to here about your news, i was going to say its nice to another Elise owner in sunny Telford. There is a top accident repair specialist in St Georges, they specialise in performance cars, Ferrari, TVR, LOtus etc etc. Just in case you want your car to be close, so you can check on progress. Sorry about your news buddy ! Steve
Phil L
Cheers Steve, will check it out.....u may have noticed a bit of wreckage near the prioslee roundabout, going towards the redhill roundabout.....that would be my beloved elise
GCCK
Hard luck Phil - glad you're OK. I know how you feel - I had one this time last week - not my fault: got rammed from behind whilst sat at traffic lights. One note: if you need a hire car they'll process you a lot faster as it's their meter that's running. With mine, I made the mistake of saying "no, don't worry, it's my second car" and it took them 3 days to call me about sending an assessor to look at the car, and the assessor won't look at the car until 15 days after the accident. dazb
worst luck mate, as already noted CCCC are excellent, have been used to repair both of the Elises I have owned. First through insurance second time by myself (Ps. neither my fault as cars were parked and damaged by other careless idiots) Alas they couldn't repair my first S2 when I rolled it down the M42, as Mark from CCCC said when he phoned me after it was taken there 'Darren is this really your car?!' steve-n
Phil, just had a look in yellow pages for ya, Autocraft Telford, 6 Gower Street, St Georges, Shropshire (01952) 617468. When you enter St Georges you get to the small roundabout, head down the hill (past the off licence on the left) and i think its the 3rd turning on the left. dont let the insurance company fob you off with any old accident repair company, as you pay the premium, you are within your rights to insist on a specialist to repair your Elise.
