Elise S2 - Which Oil ?

Hi,

 

I've recently noticed that my oil levels are starting to run a little low, can anyone recommend what I should be putting in ?

I think Lotus recommend Mobil 1, but it will depend upon what oil is in there already.

Probably a stupid question but what sort of damage would be done if the previous oil wasnt mobil 1 and then I put in mobil 1 in ?

Don't think it would do any. Most 10w40 synthetic should do the trick. If you are worried then phone the place where you last had a service and ask what they put in.

 

Some use Mobil 1, some Magnatec, Horizon use KY (or so Scott told me when a tube fell out of his pocket)

Actually Horizon use a company called 76... NASCAR inspired stuff. Seems to work.

 

I know that Sinclaires put Magnatec 10w40 in std S2's
