Strange one that, it kind of points to the problem being with your Internet Explorer web browser as Firefox doesn't crash so its not a general problem with your Windows operating system. You have switched off the rich text editor so its not that. Short or reinstalling Internet Explorer there is not much else I can think of suggesting to try as there is no specific error message displayed I can look up.

 

That said, Firefox is a much better browser and more secure than Internet Explorer, it has a lot of ad add-ons available such as blocking adverts etc:
