dalepearson Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Evening all, can someone clearly define what Elise S2 is what, so when I am looking I can tell what model has what engine and as a result what BHP. I think so far I have seen: Lotus Elise S2 Lotus Elise 111S Lotus Elise 135R Lotus Elise 111R Lotus Elise S Lotus Elise Sports Tourer Thanks in advance. Dale
dalepearson Posted May 15, 2007 Author Posted May 15, 2007 Good starting point...... Elises Kim Thanks Kim, I will have a look later. Dale
Neil Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Lotus Elise S2 - this is just the series 2 elise, covers all below. Std S2 has 118 bhp rover K-series engine. Lotus Elise 111S - 156 bhp k-series vvc Lotus Elise 135R - ~135 bhp k-seires with a different head compared to std engine Lotus Elise 111R - 199 bhp toyota engine (same as civic type r) Lotus Elise S - 135 (more like 140) bhp toyota engine, de-tuned version of above Lotus Elise Sports Tourer - same as std S2 (118 bhp k-series) but with extras like vented discs (?). You'd have to check the link for all the extras.
Steve J Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Standard S2 had 120 bhp, S1 had 118bhp. Those 2 bhp made all the difference 111R has 189bhp the same as the S2 Exige. Difference to the S1 Exige is that they actually make 189 I thought the engine in the Elise S was a different one to the 189 one. Same as in the MR2 and Celica.
