winston Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 Speak to Dave Andrews if you want to do any work on the K-series more than bolt on a few ally bits. Decent exhaust, decat (excl VVC variants) and induction should see you very close to 140bhp anyway. Agree, Dave's upgrades have a great reputation Still can't see how you get 22bhp from anything other than taking the head off. Dave's 135 bhp upgrade is cams and 155 bhp upgrade, cams + head port. Winston.
Scott_Mac Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Only the 135R has the ally plenum etc the normal 135 kit was just a new head (exactly as Daniel and my car are) There is no way, whatsoever of telling if you have it fitted as it's purely internal working. If you want a bit more freedom, then the kit Anth has will help it breathe much more happily at the top end, you may lose a little low end grunt, but add a 4-2-1 at a later stage and you'll have a nice car.

It's true. Mine has a black inlet and the only give away is the stickers on the outside, and the fact that it pulls away from a standard car at very high revs and revs a bit higher before you have to change. Comparative torque curve here Steve
stockhome Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 This has now really confused me Mine has an aluminium plenum and is badged as a Sport 135 Before i bought the car i emailed Lotus and a very helpful man advised that would be the only good way to tell.
Scott_Mac Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Is yours a Quiksilver coloured car with Red Corbeau Seats, Alcantara Steering Wheel etc? If so, that is the official Sport 135 car, not just the engine upgrade, it has a host of other niceties also, but does have the ally plenum etc etc
stockhome Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 No its an Ice blue S2 with black leather interior it was definitely an after sales upgrade
