Crash Update!

Well my Car's been took to Harlequin Motors in Leics now. Apparently It's meant to be quite good and someone had already recomended it to me.

Any one know whether they do there own Geo there? Bit worried about it being done properly for obvious reasons!

Still nice of the insurance company to tell me - I was dealing with Sinclaires and was hoping to get them to do it!

Dave - you almost certainly have the right to specify which dealer it goes to I think, although the insurance company can reject on the grounds of price and you might have to pay to get it there. My insurers tried to send it somewhere I'd never heard of but I said I wanted it to go to Nick Whale, and they were fine with it and had it transported across. NW did a great job as well, using a firm called city centre car care or something like that just down the road from them, and they do proper geos etc. Car came back quicker than estimated, and in fantastic order.

Yes, not to worried about the bodywork etc being done there, its just whether then can do the Geo properly?

Yes I rang City Centre Car Repairs at NW, but the car has gone before I could sort it out!

Same story when I had my off - I told them I didn't want just anyone doing the work because of the specialist nature of the car and it was done by my local lotus dealer in Dorset.

Does this mean you miss out on a courtesy lotus Dave?

Richard, I think I'm only entitled to one if it's proved this other guy is at fault!

Thing is, if they do prove it I'll probably have my Lotus back by then anyway!

Then to top it all my Gof failed the MoT yesterday :(

You should be able to get a courtesy car regardless (even if its only a corsa or something). I'd get on to your insurance about that since the repairs will probably take quite a while - not deliberatley rubbing it in but mine took 3 months to repair

Just been on the phone to Harlequin and they said they should be able to get a courtesy car. Said it should be pretty similar to mine? not sure what that would be then?

Yeah thats a shame, you always get crap cars as Courtesy ones don't you... Corsa's, Micra's, S2's... shame really. Probably best of with the Corsa, at least its got some original Lotus in it, seen as they did the handling.
