Decided on the run that standard = pants!

 

Gotta get a Janspeed.

 

Anyone know the cheapest supplier?

Racespeed! Go to Horizon Motorsport, Mike will do you a good deal.

Mine was from race-speed but note other posts urging caution if buying from there. If you went straight to horizon they'd source it for you and I expect that they'd not charge a premium for doing so. They cost about £280 normally, and make sure you get a stainless steel one, by the way, not a mild steel one. Also make sure that it's specifically the one for the S2 111s as the standard S2 ones have the oval tail pipes and then you have to change the rear grilles. If you're feeling flush I'd go for a sports cat at the same time which helps the noise and engine breathing. Well worth it - probably about £220 on top but fitting at the same time makes sense...

Horizon are pretty much PTP authorised dealers (they may even be by now..) so they will be able to source, supply and fit.

I too would be wary of Race Speed at the moment to be fair.. nothing against Owen, but he still owes me cash from February!

Go to Sinclares. They are doing a Janspeed for £364 fitted including VAT.

Not for the S2 111S they aren't... or i'd be surprised if they were.

 

Anyhoo, i should guess the drive down would offset the savings of going locally!

If Horizon are ptp/janspeed authorised dealers I'd be amazed if anyone within easy reach did it cheaper personally...

PTP were the same price as Racespeed.

I don't know of anyone cheaper in the Midlands.

I got mine from racespeed but I recall eliseparts was about the same price.

Got mine from Elise parts together with a Hurricane.

Both beautifully fitted by Mike and the crew at Horizon... for if I remember not much more than £80 or so. Not worth getting your knuckles grazed for that and it's all fitted perfectly no rattles no loose bolts.......nough said!

(I think the zorst was about £320 but can't find the receipt to be certain.)

Of course you could always buy my hardly used B+C sports zorst for £200 not quite as loud as the Janspeed but sounds much nicer.

Now that could be interesting. I'm not really after a loud one, just something thats less sewing machine/rover 25.

 

I assume it's the same round rear pipes etc etc etc

Yes its round tail pipes fits 111s grills etc etc

twin can silencer very light and I loved it on my 111s.

I've heard a couple of these and they do sound good. Different sound than the janspeed, but good and so much better than standard. Also slightly more unusual.

Jonathan, shoot me an email - [email protected] about the exhaust. I think we posted about it a while ago but I was/am unsire whether the tailpipes would be a problem on my standard S2.

 

I am booked in next week at horizon for a geo so wouldnt mind getting an exhaust (finally) fitted at the same time.

 

Obviously all if Simon isnt interested.
