simondann111s
Some advice please. This is the worst, not sure if it's reparable: http://www.bookatrack.com/-PG?simondan&230&17745&640 http://www.bookatrack.com/-PG?simondan&230&17746&640 The front has a tiny stone chip here: http://www.bookatrack.com/-PG?simondan&230&17747&640 Note to tech people (repeated from the polls thread): Why can't I insert an image, I've followed the BB code help to the letter, and still can't get the B@st@rd to work.... Scott_Mac
You normally can't insert images based on either their size in kb or their physical size in pixels... i can't remember the exact prob, but thats what i've found in the past. I would've thought that'd be tricky to repair... i ahve a few similar marks on mine.... i'm certainly no expert though!
Kris H
Can't help re the damage but ouch. The mark looks pretty deep. Bad luck.
Mark H
Check the error message you get, its usually down to the image file being too big (in file size) so the system stops the upload.
simondann111s
Tried again..Error message says "Sorry, dynamic pages in the tags are not allowed" What does this mean?
Mark H
Ahh.. because the filename doesnt end in the standard .jpg or .gif etc it thinks the material might not be an image or allowed and thus stops you posting it. i.e. -PG?simondan&230&17745&640 I've set the site to only allow certain file types and that question mark and number isnt recognised as a file type You could just upload the picture to here using the "more options" button in the bottom of this post or post it in the gallery section and link to it that way. spike
When i span mine and had a little altercation with a kerbed central reservation, i managed to get a much bigger 'grind' type scar on my wheel, and a big 'ding'. I went to Paul Mattys for advice, and they sent me to Redditch shot blast. They not only repaired the ding and the grind, but also powder coated the wheel better than original!! Dunno if it may be a little far for you, but im fairly sure there will be similar places by you... spike

ipanter
From the picture, the damage does not look to have affected the shape of the wheel, and it doesn't seem too deep either. There are moble alloy wheel repairers who should be able to fill the hole and respray it, i have seen it done and they usually get very good results. If the alloy is cracked or bent, it is a different matter, they are sometimes able to repair them but in my experience it is not worth it (as the repairs don't last and it's also dangerous. http://www.wicked-wheels.co.uk/
