Its Got A Missfire!

my s1 got thoroughly soaked at work today, on the way home it occasionally spluttered a bit under acceleration.... got on the a38... 5th gear at about 50... put foot down and..... *cough splutter pop bang* etc... i got home but it still isnt right.

 

i'm guessing somethings got wet, do you reckon its the leads?

Definitely leads/plugs. Just needs drying out. I think the sockets tend to fill up if it's really bad so there may be a bit of mopping up to do there mate

you can fix it at work tomorrow for me...

 

ive dried it out under the car port and put it in the garage now... hopefully it will work in the morning. it started and ran ok when i moved it just

Might be worth spraying the dizzy cap with WD40 - I had to do this with my old Elise, and also a old Rover 214 which had the same problem
