DeanB Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I picked my car up from Unit4 Vehicle Services in Burton last night. I was very impressed with the work done, the service (Gavin, the proprietor even picked me up from Burton railway station) and the price. I had the inlet manifold to head gasket changed, new brake pads fitted all round, a front upper ball joint replaced, an engine light issue investigated (misfire due to the faulty gasket), A pre MOT check and an exhaust rubber replaced and the car MOT'd. He even hoovered it out for me! I supplied the pads but he supplied everything else. Total cost £233. He certainly knows his Lotuses. Thoroughly recommended.

Your welcome! Needed one around our area for some time! I used him for 9 years and still do. I'm a fussy bugger too. Gav is very helpful, knows his stuff but is so easy to deal with, keen and willing to go the extra mile! Hope he gets more Lotus work because this is his passion! Oh and by the way. Jumpjet Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Just thought I'd share my recent experience of Gavin at Unit4. Visited this morning for A service, fit NSS, check/adjust geo and finally a brake fluid change - all for £200. Gavin certainly knows his stuff and gave the car a thorough check over and also did a couple of extra jobs at the same time: like reversing an earthing strap and adjusting/fabricating an exhaust bracket - which got rid of an annoying resonance. It was worth it just for that alone! Well worth the 60 mile round trip.
