GCCK Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Nice to see folks using the search facilities and unearthing old threads rather than being lazy and firing up the same old questions for the Nth time. However, 18 months on, I'm not sure the BFG's are available any more. So that means Toyo T1-R or ideally Yoko Advans. Yokos more to buy but last longer. £/mile more cost effective as well as feeling nicer.
AL G Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Agree on the 'old' thread search, nice one ! I got the BF-G's (eventually) fitted for about £250 iirc - what a bargain, they are great. Wish I'd bought two sets, as they are indeed out of production. I tend to agree on the comments about trying to scrimp and save £300 on tyres, after spending ten grand on the best handling car in the world. It doesn't make sense, but if you are really after a budget alternative try searching on Seloc on Khumo Ecsta KU31. Much better reviews than T1-R and much cheaper .. Sorry to add to the confusion.
LivinLaVidaLotus Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 On Bridgies here, no idea how much they are new though as they were on there car, when they're done I'll probs be going to AD07s.
jhall89 Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 I had BFGs fitted last year by Event Tyres for c£280 and have been very pleased with them in all weather conditions - road use only. Hover I understand that they no longer make the 225 rear tyre size so think your only choice is Toyo's!
