bikingmonkey
Hi I need of some info / help The car is 2004 Elise 111R and I'm looking at fitting quantum dampers which come supplied with new damper mounts. I'm tackling the Front drivers side first....the other wheels seems a little more straight forward. All bolts/nuts come undone easily bar one (highlighted by the orange circles in the pics) this particular bolt/nut is quite rusty, its been covered in WD40 but its no use as the whole thing just twists, so it's not really coming undone, managed to get a little bit undone. Clearance is also extremely tight so not able to fit many tools in the gap. 1) Any idea how to undo it? or is there a way to get at it from above (that's easy) 2) what is this part anyway? What are those rubber parts for? doing anything important? For now I've put everything back as it was, so I'm back to the start
