Is a VX220 a real Lotus??

I’ve just bought a Vauxhall VX220 Turbo!!!

 

I want to do a future video on this topic so get your opinions down! I’ve asked the same question in the VX220 forums too!

As I understand the VX venture provided Lotus with the funds and ability to bring the series 2 to the market, so although your car doesn't have the Lotus badge I would call the VX an honery Lotus.

Or for an alternative view, Lotus pulled off a coup of Colin Chapmanesque proportions by sucker punching Opel into producing a sports car that they then trumped with the S2👍
