Wont Start :(

got it back from service 2 weeks ago and was fine, been sat in garage since then!

 

went to start today, loads of battery lights etc

 

just a very fast ticking from the engine bay, may be the points going around but no spark?

 

ANy suggetions?

Hi Spoonz,

 

I had exactly the same thing a couple of weeks ago - loads of battery lights but just fast clicking from the engine when turning the key.

 

I posted up here and almost everybody said flat battery. Sure enough it was. Recommend this is your first place to look

Flat battery. Had it loads last winter..

 

Leave it a couple more days and it will start making a constant high pitched tone (this might be my tracker though). Then, the tone dies when the battery has nothing more to give at all.. When you turn on the ignition you will get nothing at all...

 

I eventually replaced mine with the Bosch 'silver' battery as inevitable death seemed to come sooner each time. hth
