The british driver was starting from pole position and despite a faultless drive he couldn't build a gap big enough to hold on P2 during the pit-stops. Esteban Gutierrez couldn't do better than 10, having started 11th. Added to that, the young mexican did the fastest lap of the race. The start of race 2 is scheduled at 10:20 tomorrow morning.
