hi everyone!

Has anyone changed or knows how hard it is to change the front impact zone on a elise S2 111s... I can weld pretty good if thats what needs doing but basically has anyone done it or is it a specialist job at a garage? therefore ideas on cost?

Also hard is it to change the front clam shell and replace it?

many thanks all

This doesn't sound great....

On the S1 the crash structure is bonded to the chassis with window adhesive/sealant (I seem to remember that is what it was) not sure on the S2... as for removing and ref-tting the clam, it's not a big job just takes time and a couple of people.

BTW if you need to buy those parts... you're talking some serious wedge and it may be easier to deal with insurance (that is, if you've pranged the car)

My Insurance went up by £200 after losing 2 yrs NCB and having a > £4k claim.... worth it IMHO.
