Quite interesting for me with the TVR rebuild jobby at lowish price compared with some Elise sports CATS.

 

Plenty of info for numbties like me too.

The rust on the manifolds happens within minutes of getting wet Dave, very strange steel used.

 

Have started to get a bit more involved with the mods the Tivver lads do, quite a few options as you can imagine.

 

There are a hell of a lot of helpful guys on TVR CC and Pistonheads with genuine technical info, even the tuning guys tell the secrets.

 

Think it's time to make the most of the Tivver for a little while, just researching the way to go if I decide to keep it longer term than planned.

 

Did miss the old bugger while at le Mans, strange, but they grow on you, admitted, not eveyones cup of tea.

 

First upgrade will be a 2 hour session on Mark Adams (Tivver Guru) rolling road and then his "Tornado" chip for the ECU to make it pleasant around town, and torquey from 40 to 60mph, then maybe the matching cam, Nitrons or Avo's, decat, remap, ignition map, new bank account etc etc.
