simondann111s
I'm after some advice from the collective talents that I know exists in here Architects and designers should find this relatively straight forward. I'm after a programme that can produce 3D virtual environments for the assessment of thermal and acoustic performance of buildings. Currently I am producing these details through excel models, that I adapt or write to suit the particular projects and construction method. As I get involved in more specialist and bespoke buildings this is becoming very tedious, so the move to a packaged programme is now on the cards. It obviously needs to produce calculations suitable for part L compliance and EN ISO 6946. The ability to set up non standard wall and roof constructions is vital. Willing to listen to all opinions, but something that runs from AutoCAD would be great. Any ideas??
Tango190
So er, your after a 3d design package with volumetric handling and material density characteristics. Send me one of your current Excel models so I get the feel for where you are now. Bob - love a challenge.

catboy
I have a load of 3d modelling software you can try out, but Ive never done that sort of analysis with any of them before... I have done NVH analysis with Ideas, however its really complicated to use, and its bloody expensive with the options to do those sort of calcs (£10k plus) I may have a hookie copy somewhere (will be 3yrs old or so) that you can have if you want a play b
