S1 Type 49 Questions..

ok, these might be a silly questions, Im still concious of the fact I know v.little about Elise's

 

Does anyone know what engine went in the S1 type 49? (I think its a type 49 anyway; red white and gold?) Was it the VVC (as in 111s) or the standard engine? Also, any ideas what was different between the 49 and the std/111s models?...

 

Another thing; I always thought the 49 was red/white/gold, but I have seen one for sale that is blue (azure?.. about that hue anyway) white and gold... is that normal or has it been re-sprayed at some point?...
