Stones / Nuts In The Sills

Any good ideas on getting them out?

 

I heard that you can access the sills by taking off the coin trays. Then some squirty foam???

 

Any ideas gratefully received so as to help maintain my sanity.

Thats about the only solution i've ever heard too... short of drilling a hole in the chassis

But seriously, yes get the coin stays off and brake hard should do it!

filling the sills with foam is a bad idea...if you ever need to replace the coolant pipes your stuffed.

I wasnt thinking of filling the sills with foam, just enough to catch the offending stone (and now also the dead squirrel)

 

A bit of heat to get the coin trays off? is that all that is required?

AFAIK you *will* break the coin tray when they come off.....

if you can heat it up enough and CAREFULLY use a knife to pry underneath the coin tray where all the NOW SOFT GLUE is you shouldnt break it, if you do they are about £30 i think from lotus.

I'm not sure i like the thought of doing this when you say CAREFULLY in very big letters!!!

 

Will try though (one day, when i get a free second and its not raining!)
