Tyre Balancing

Any recommendations for good garages around Nott to balance tyres?

Don't trust KwikFit as they couldn't balance the Audi ones after 5 attempts.

 

I remember something Browns being mentioned ages ago.

 

Hopefully only £10 each.

Just read some online reviews about Charlie Browns and they were none too complimentory. Lots of unhappy customers

I used to work at the one in Kidderminster... wouldn't take a Dinky Toy there

 

Used to take my old car (when at uni) to the National Tyre place opposite Castle Mariner... they were decent folks, would do a "cash in hand" deal too

Just thought, could it be flat spots on the tyres from North Weald?

 

If so I assume balancing won't have an effect. How would I sort it, drive in circles to scrubb the tyres round again?

If they fell wobbly and bumpy, then yes... also could be shifted/melded tread blocks.

 

After an Elvington day and BoB my tyres felt very similar, lots of vibration, bumpy etc..

 

If so, you have to drive them, and try and wear out a bit more of the knackered tread.
