Lotus Insurance

Just trying to get an insurance quote for my lotus and cheapest so far is £2400 :-(

 

Are there any companies out there that deals with especially with sports car?

Tesco are usually pretty cheap, aslong as you have NCB and clean licence, though they do usually insisit on having a tracker fitted. The cost of this is usually around £500.

 

I've heard Autotorque are good for lotus as the owner used to have one, but they won't insure anyone under 25.

I've had some crappy quotes, but the best I had (by along way) was autotorque (www.autotorque.co.uk).

 

my quote went from £1440 to £600 with them. And if its a second car they don't worry about lack of no claims bonus.

I use Admiral & its about £650. Tesco sounds pretty cheap. Does it make a difference whether its S1 or S2?

well mine is in the garage as we speak crashed it on the A52 on the 1st of july... its gonna finish next week i hope just getting last spare parts for it.. im going to see it in the next hour.. dont wanna post the crashed pics here LOL

funny that as i'm 23 and they insure me, they must have changed their policies, or perhaps you were speaking to a numpty???

Ah, the matched bonus would be useful if I had a ncb at all...!

 

If you ever go abroad for more than 2 years you lose it all... I had 7 years beforehand...

tesco's insured me and i was 24 when i first took the policy out(few months off 25). It will be expensive though if you have no no claims but $2400 is taking the Pi@s

richard hodgson doenst work oin that company anymore they redirected me to another company they said £2900
