Website Not Found

Recommended Posts

last 2 nights I haven't been able to get on to MLOC from home. I get the usual screen when you type in the wrong address for website not found. I'm using the same link I always have (and the same as the one I use at work) so the address is correct.

I can get into it from work no problem during the day.

Has there been any issues at night recently or is it just me having a problem?

Not that I've seen, There are certainly posts at all of the times through the evening.

Could the DNS be playing up on your home machines ISP?

It would be worthwhile trying this command on your home machine, it should return the following results (as in the ip address should be the same for the non authoritative answer):

nslookup www.mloc.net

Server: XXXXXXXHiddenXXXXXX

Address: XXXXXXXHiddenXXXXXX

Non-authoritative answer:

Name: mloc.net

Address: 208.67.212.36

Aliases: www.mloc.net

Mark,

I have been experiencing similar problems trying to logon although I have been able to visit other sites at the same time.

eg

I could not logon last Saturday evening and missed the invite to the Curbrough Sprint from SarahB, by the time I saw the post Sunday morning it was too late.

A few weeks ago there was a post regarding people having problems being able to logon - me too.

When you say you couldn't logon, do you mean the site wouldn't appear or you got a rejection message when you logged into the site? Be interesting to see what message you get, i.e. a 404 page not found, 500 server error etc if it happens again.

The post a few weeks ago was about the site being slow for a day I believe?

I've just added a watch that checks every 30 mins to make sure the http service is responding ok, so if you notice a problem let me know the time as well and I'll check.

It wouldnt hurt to go here to see if these guys think it is down if you have a problem:

http://www.siteuptime.com/users/quickcheck.php

Just enter the URL and check, then you can tell if its really was down or just your ISP couldnt get to the site for some reason.

Permanent uptime watch is now listed here:
