Simon G
Had a drive in a demo 111R last night for an hour or so. Certainly is quick when you get to the 6200rpm band onwards. Car is well put together, handled well, extra weight was noticebale, steering was a bit heavier and a little dead. Brakes would take some getting used to, but worked well. Defo needs a sports exhaust/induction kit. Everything was still tight, gearshift was a bit sticky, I would expect that to improve with miles. Got back in mine for the blast home, amazing how much difference the soundtrack makes to the Elise driving experience, mine sounded so much better with sports zorst and crp. I would say the handling has been improved over my S2 when it was standard, but still some way short with Nitrons fitted. Overall couldn't see the point in moving from an S2, even a standard one to a 111R, whilst it's a good bit quicker, you find yourself doing silly speeds just to get that 6200 rush. Your license wouldn't be safe. Exige test drive next week, now that will be tempting. Have fun John and Jon.

Zebedee79
Thanks for all the comments. Remember my upgrade was from a std. S1 albeit with Janspeed and S160 wheels, so quite a power hike Pictures to follow shortly - have to work out how to post first! Anybody know whose the blue Esprit was that I was behind on the A38 roadworks going into Derby last night - 4 digit 2 letter private plate, looked great. John BTW S160 Victories in Gold with Advans for sale shortly if anyone is interested, will put proper thread up in for sale section.
Scott_Mac
LOL, i was in there this morning getting my boot cable fixed... you were being discussed Simon Go for the PTP170, gives you a slightly better Power to Weight ratio than a 111R anyway. Costs a whole heap less too!
Simon G
LOL, I took it easy and stuck to the running in procedure! As I keep saying, I don't think my car lacks horsepower 90% of the time, on track a little more would be fun. Honda power in a couple of years appeals.
