Lotus Rumours Mill

Saw this on southrun lotus web site Things have been fairly quiet on the Lotus scene until recently.

There are two big rumours flying around at the moment, the possible use of the

BMW M5 engine in the replacement Esprit giving the car plenty of BHP and

reliability, and the other not quite so plausible rumour is another

buy-out of Lotus or Proton with Lotus attached. This type of rumour does

crop up from time to time, but one interesting part is a speculation of

Toyota getting involved, the thoughts of Toyota + Lotus F1 team does sound

tantalising, but don't get too excited, the rumour doesn't seem to have

even made the magazines, yet?
