Jules Bianchi brought his Dallara Lotus ART on the second step of the podium again after a brilliant drive coming back from P7. The young Frenchman started carefully and then overtook the other driver one by one. Esteban Gutierrez did very well too as he came back just out of the point (7th) while he started 16th. The 8 points and 1 podium it is bringing home from Hungary are below Lotus ART’s objectives, but there are many reasons for the team to be satisfied and it can take advantage of the summer break to recharge its batteries before the next races at Spa on August 27. Jules Bianchi and Esteban Gutierrez qualified in 6th and 9th position respectively on the starting grid for the first race. Starting on the dirty si…

The second race of the GP2 Series at the Hungaroring will remain as one of the most crazy race of the year ! 3 safety car periods, rain, many pit stops and a second and a sixth place in the end for Esteban and Jules. The young Mexican opted for an aggressive strategy taking into account his starting position and it paid off as he stole the second place in the last lap of the race. Jules’ race was full of traps from the start to the finish but the Frenchman never gave up and bring the point of the 6th place home. The GP2 Series will be back in Spa at the end of august following the summer break. This post has been promoted to an article

Jules Bianchi and Esteban Gutierrez couldn't do better than 6th and 9th during the qualifying session for the hungarian meeting. Both Lotus ART drivers struggled to find clear lap on the short hungaroring track. The session was fully dry and it should stay the same for the rest of the week-end. Lotus ART ended the free practice session with the 4th (Jules) and 26th (Esteban) positions on the twisty Hungaroring. Despite a grey sky, all drivers were on slicks for the whole session. Esteban’s session has been troubled by a problem on the throttle. Jules had no particular problem and was confidant for the rest of the week-end. This post has been promoted to an article

Lotus ART obtained its 4th podium of the GP2 Series season this weekend on the Nürburgring circuit, thanks to Jules Bianchi’s 2nd place finish in the calendar’s second German race. The French driver drove most of the race despite changing, tricky track conditions that required a mid-race tyre change. Jules lost control in the final corner of the penultimate lap, when one of his wheels hit a wet patch. The previous day, Jules Bianchi had crossed the finish line in 4th position. Esteban Gutierrez started the first race from the 4th row and was looking forward to fight for a point finish. Unfortunately, he got penalized for an unsafe pit release which cost him t…

Jules Bianchi finished second in today's GP2 Series race at the Nurburgring. This good result has a bitter taste as Jules was in the lead for most of the laps but had to give it up one lap before the finish line because of a complicated braking at the chicane. Esteban Gutierrez was on his way to the podium when he lost his right rear wheel for a yet to be defined reason. The mexican had to retire. This post has been promoted to an article
