Dixie
Just read the petrol level thread and it made me think of something me and a mate were on about last year. Since i bought my elise i've noticed a bit of variety in how much petrol i can fit in the elise. When i know the car is VERY near empty i've put as much as 42 litres in at some stations but at others (mainly Tesco or other mainstream staions) it's normally 35 to 37. As far as i can remeber the tank on an elise is 35 or 37 liters. Obviously theres got to be some give and take due to filler neck and fuel lines ect.. And not to mention the dodgy stack? Could it be that some stations are conning me out of a couple of quid?? Has anybody else noticed this???? Or am i just being paraniod/stupid? Dave S
Stupid.... All petrol stations / pumps are checked regularly, metering and the quality of fuel is also checked.
