Ladders
If anyone's read Evo mag, apparently Caterham have been taken over by Ex-Lotus General Manager, Ansar Ali! Link Wonder what this means for Caterham? They have just finished all the development work on the new caterham so does this mean they've been taken over as someone see's their potential, or is it because they were in trouble? If the latter, was it because of the failed attempt to develope a completly new model? Will they develop a new model now? Noticed a for sale sign next to their Kirkby Mallory Showrooms (well the sign was near!), so wonder if this has some significance?
Snapper
It means the the Nearn family have managed to sell the company with a full order book for a newly spec'ed car that isn't really on the road for a good offer that will set them up in life without having to worry about paying the bills in their life time. And all this before the car gets regulated off the road with nothing on the drawing board for the future when 7 type cars can't be made. Apart from race cars...... I think that in this ever changing world Caterham has got 5-10 years max as a company unless they can make a new car..... Sad but true.... Overseas importer are finding it harder to get type approval in their countries now’er days.
