Race Speed - no longer trading

 

"Sadly Race Speed has ceased trading. You can expect further information on this over the next few days.

 

However the organisational baton for Le Mans will be passed over, you will get some news very soon here - please stay tuned. You will only need to wait a matter of hours.

 

On a personal note it has been a big struggle over recent weeks with Race Speed, and I am continuing to work hard on on ensuring our customers don't loose out. Please be patient for a few days whilst the situation becomes a little clearer. Rest assured I am doing everything I can to make sure there is the best outcome as a result.

This is terrible news - most of all for Owen himself but also for the Elise community in general. The disappearance of one of the most active and innovative independent specialists is going to have major repercussions on the aftermarket.

This may sound odd but if they are able to get going again it's quite important that folks don't avoid buying from them. My dealings with Owen have shown that he is a decent and straightforward bloke and I for one would gladly buy from him again if he is able to get back up and get on with it. There are dubious dealers out there for sure but Owen has been really helpful whenever I have dealt with him, and full of practical help or advice when I've spoken to him. I suppose that if the Le Mans stuff goes belly up I could lose four hundred quid or so but I would buy from Racespeed again if they can get back up and running.

I too would deal with him again, he was most helpful and honest. I'm a bit miffed i still haven't had my refund from February though
