Matrs Posted October 2, 2003 Posted October 2, 2003 Not been answering the phones for the last few days - is all well?
woody Posted October 2, 2003 Posted October 2, 2003 This is not what I wanted to see. They currently have my TVR Cerbera - sorry I know it's the wrong forum but I stumbled across this thread whilst trying to track down Team Proactive (via Yahoo). They had my car for weeks to repair some crash damage and to get the thing running again. I've gone from speaking to Adrian who left suddenly then Roger (likewise) then Ricky and now they don't answer the phone and their fax isn't working. Does anyone have any idea whats going on - is anyone local to Team Proactive - could you do a drive by - I'm getting really worried now.
Matrs Posted October 2, 2003 Author Posted October 2, 2003 They should have picked my car up yesterday to sort some unfinished work, but did not turn up, and I have been trying to get hold them since.
woody Posted October 2, 2003 Posted October 2, 2003 Damn - I reckon they must have gone bust then. I'm not sure what to do next, I could do with someone who lives locally to take a look to see if there is a notice - I want my car back!!!!
Matrs Posted October 2, 2003 Author Posted October 2, 2003 (From pistonheads.com) I understand that they have suspended trading and are meeting with their creditors with regard to insolvency. I also understand that they will be contacting owners individually, asking them to arrange the removal of their cars next week; or helping move them to alternative service/repairers.
woody Posted October 2, 2003 Posted October 2, 2003 Why didn't they bloody tell me yesterday on the phone - this is all I need.
GCCK Posted October 2, 2003 Posted October 2, 2003 Bad news. Pause a moment to feel sorry for the poor sods who sank their own money into a business that didn't pan out. I guess in time the full story will come out. They were just getting going on the Lotus front too, with people speaking well of them. Spoke to Lou at Tollgate Garage in Hinckley. He's looking to buy larger premises at the moment and will take on as many Elises as are interested, and I'm sure he'd even have a go at Rover V8 engined TVR's as well. Call him on 01455 615785. Graeme
Sol Posted October 2, 2003 Posted October 2, 2003 Sounds really unfortunate. Hope you all get the cars back and sorted all ok.. And once again, Im gonna plug Lou at Tollgate. I was very impressed with the job he did on mine...
woody Posted October 3, 2003 Posted October 3, 2003 Matrs, thanks for all your help - I seem to be getting somewhere now.
Matrs Posted October 3, 2003 Author Posted October 3, 2003 No problem Woody, speaking to Rod now! to sort my car:)
Jamie Posted October 3, 2003 Posted October 3, 2003 Maybe a few people had to take them to task over their standard of work completion - they managed to drop a load of sealant on the (leather) drivers seat without telling me when they serviced the little chap the week before last. Looks like I'm bloody lucky they don't have to reupholster the car!
Black Swan Posted October 3, 2003 Posted October 3, 2003 The service they did on Black Swan went well and would have used them again if Graeme hadn't introduced me to Lou. A nice run to Tollgate will be on the way when the next service comes round. Just hope I will not have to book too far in advance!! Peter
Russ Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 I have heard that a couple of the mechanics from team pro-active are starting up on their own.
