Ladders Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Good work Mark! Only thing is it now seems to 'bomb out' my Safari every so often (makes it crash!) Any idea's why?
Greg.g Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Probably missing something here, but the text seems to stretch to far right on my monitor. I end up not being able to read all the text on the right hand side. I tried the narrow text option, but the same applies. Perhaps i should move my monitor two inches to the right of my desktop
GCCK Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 On behalf of everyone, Mark, thanks for giving up your weekend (and sleep!) to make this happen. It makes a significant difference and the "other"-LOC look a bit old hat now...
Mark H Posted March 26, 2006 Author Posted March 26, 2006 Good work Mark! Only thing is it now seems to 'bomb out' my Safari every so often (makes it crash!) Any idea's why? It uses a lot of fancy technology that I guess Safari probably doesnt fully support yet? although I cant say I've ever used it. Best thing to do would be to switch off the rich text editor for now and see if that helps as a test. Goto: http://www.midlandslotus.co.uk/forum/index...=UserCP&CODE=04 and change the following: Type of text editor to use when postingRich Text Editor requires either IE6, Mozilla or Firefox to Standard Editor See if that helps, if not use Firefox Probably missing something here, but the text seems to stretch to far right on my monitor. Greg.g Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Bit of a numptie here , but its yahoo powered by google on windows.
Ladders Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Done that and i'll see how i get on Mark, cheers!
Mark H Posted March 26, 2006 Author Posted March 26, 2006 Bit of a numptie here , but its yahoo powered by google on windows. In your web browser click on the help menu and select "About Internet Explorer" There should be a version number listed there, and then a few lines down there may be a Update versions line to also type out. Scratch that, I've worked out what it is, your screen size is only 800 x 600 and thus its too wide to fit on your screen. I'll see what I can do
Mark H Posted March 26, 2006 Author Posted March 26, 2006 A hidden feature: Open fast reply and highlight someones text (control-c to copy it). Scroll back down to the fast reply and a button will appear saying something like "Add selected text as Quote" Quick way to quote just part of someones post
Mark H Posted March 27, 2006 Author Posted March 27, 2006 Topic preview disabled while I check some problems. Looking into it, works ok on Firefox.
simonk Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Your time zone is set here: http://www.midlandslotus.co.uk/forum/index...=UserCP&CODE=04 Mine seems ok but them I do have the auto DST button ticked, I'll see if I can perform a quick SQL statement to make sure everyones DST is ticked. Let me know if that doesnt sort it. Interesting, I also have auto DST ticked and it's still an hour out. Using Firefox(1.0.4) on XP.
MarkR Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 First time on for a week or two. Looks nicer and more importantly appears to load/reload quicker than previously. Is it possible to edit the screen colours? - specifically the marmalade coloured text.
Mark H Posted March 30, 2006 Author Posted March 30, 2006 Not at the moment, its Chrome Orange all the way
