mambosasa
The Brains of MLOC. How do I remove the handbrake cover? I can't seem to be able to slide it over the handle. Am I missing something or do I need to apply brute force? I need to remove it this afternoon so I can take it to Donny tomorrow. Cheers all. Heph
I believe the Handle should be taken out. It must be removeable since there's aftermarket ones... I can't tell you how since I haven't done it... If I find something in the service manual, I'll come back to you

mambosasa
Knowing Lotus its probably glued on. Give it a gentle tug <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have pulled, pushed, rocked, tugged and nothing. There has to be an easier way. I just don't want to force it and all end in tears.

Mark H
As said above, Stanley knife down the line on the plastic will remove the handbrake handle. Be careful not to slip or you will mark your handbrake/cut off your arm
mambosasa
All done . I tried the Stanley knife approach and feared for my life. So out came my trusted Dremell. It took about a minute to slice its way through the plastic and after the smoke cleared, it was just a matter of pulling the handle off. Much safer method I thought. Thanks all. Now, where is that Visa...

I didn't have a chance once I indroduced it to the Dremel. Nice!
