Popular Post PJT Posted June 30, 2025 Popular Post Posted June 30, 2025 (edited) I have to say, I have got back home late Sunday afternoon and was spent, god only knows how Ray felt. A great success too, by the whole team. What an absolutely fabulous day, nah weekend. There was great company at the BBQ, with a good range of Lotus gracing the village square. The Pootle on Saturday took us to the beautiful Carsington Water, on a beautiful Summer afternoon via beautiful roads not being used for the next days big event, so I am told, I took a wrong turn and found me way there solo (with a helpful text telling me the destination of the mystery tour). I made the error of ordering an ice cream cone which I enjoyed licking off my arm as it quickly melted. Then up earlier (earlier for many who were travelling) to a misty, atmospheric Sunday Morning for the main event, the bun fight in a car park to find your group leader... No, not that! The epic early drive though the lanes and landscape of the peak district with over a hundred fellow lotus flashing lights, waving, cheering as they pass. I'd dare say there is no where else in the world where this happens. Ended with no incident and breakfast together at the Thornbridge Estate and, I have to say, a very impressive one at that, great bread, no cheap tasteless over-floured supermarket rolls here! I was sorry to miss the procession through Winnats Pass, (I bet it was a monumental sight) to the main venue where we talked, joked, and raised money for charity (Rainbows) by drinking tea and eating cake, picnicking, as well as with raffles and auctions. Everything made goes to Rainbows. If you came, come again, if you didn't.... come next time. On a selfish note, I took no photos, so I'd love to see yours (of the event, of course). And let us know what you enjoyed too. Edited June 30, 2025 by PJT 8 Quote
Popular Post Fox Posted June 30, 2025 Popular Post Posted June 30, 2025 Great summary! I also missed the procession down Winnats Pass sadly but the one pic I've seen looked stunning. It was my first LitP with a Lotus, and I had an absolutely brilliant time! Thanks for all the organisational effort that was put in, and to every other person there for being a bunch of really nice folk Already excited for next year 2 Quote
Popular Post Luke Seagrave Posted June 30, 2025 Popular Post Posted June 30, 2025 It was a wonderful event, apologies for the photo dump, but i thought i would try and capture the social aspect rather than just the wonderful cars.. already counting down to next years event.. 4 Quote

Huge thanks to Ray and everybody else that helped organise and also to all those that attended to make it the success it was ❤️ The 2.5 hr drive home in the heat pretty much finished me off for the day, just lots of dashcam footage to review now for some good stills and clips. 3 Quote
Popular Post winthattt Posted June 30, 2025 Popular Post Posted June 30, 2025 (edited) I just want to say a big thank you to Ray and all the organisers. Until you have done something like this you have no idea how consuming it is, MASSIVE BIG THANK YOU. As for the event, it was great, sun, rain, fog, food, bacon rolls and a highlight of chocolate and Guinness cake. I don’t like either but in cake, send me the recipe! Very big thank you, my son is still grinning, this was out 10th event but this time he drove (superbly), just needs to tweak his HnT a bit but he’s better than me 🤓 Edited June 30, 2025 by winthattt 2 Quote
