_W_ Posted May 27, 2025 Posted May 27, 2025 For those without cover on their general policy, who do you use and rate for trackday insurance? I’ve used morris before, didn’t need to claim so can’t comment on that part, but the cost did seem a bit high (maybe I just have no good benchmark)
PaulH Posted May 27, 2025 Posted May 27, 2025 For a one off track day insurance I used www.insuremytrackday.com It was very easy to get a quote which is all done online, so you can find out how it compares. Now that I have done a track day (with no incidents ) I have switched my car insurance to Classic Line who provides a policy that include a number of track days per year. It's quite expensive compared to a standard policy. I had to do the one off insurance before this to enable me to get the classic line policy. They insist that you have to have already completed a track day within the last 3 years. Once I got this classic line policy, I have to inform them a minimum of 14 days before taking part in a track day, and they will approve (or not) and issue a cover note for the track day. For a club organised track day (like the Club Lotus one) there is no additional charge, but for a Javelin (or similar) there is an additional charge. I hope this makes sense.
