Elise S2 Audi 1.8 Turbo

Hi to all the members I’ve just joined the group.

recently I bought an Elise S2 which had an Audi Quattro 1.8 turbo fitted along with various upgrades to the engine etc. it also has a toad sterling alarm fitted, I bought it from a body shop it was sold as seen with no fob for the immobiliser etc so just wondering if the car and conversion rings a bell with any member I’ve removed both clams to repair them and am scratching my head looking at the wiring etc, so at the end of this lengthy bit I could do with finding out where the conversion was done or a garage that does this type of conversion, it is a black Elise S2 2003 with a private plate Eliset

There was a company that used to do Audi conversions but I just can’t remember the name, pretty sure they went bust a good few years ago, they could be tuned to daft hp but heavy, and the one I drove(300bhp) didn’t feel anything like an Elise, but then I’m not a fan of the Honda’d Elises either so that’s probably no real surprise.

.You’d be better off having a look on the engine conversions section of Seloc, you’ll probably find some other Audi Elise owners on there and no doubt some good info.👍

One of the MLOC OGs, Dobbo, had an Audi turbo conversion done on his s1 Elise. He took me round Donington in it and it flew!

Hopefully Dobbo will chip in to this thread soon - maybe he can help

Toad are still around, if you contact them they may tell you a way of getting or programming a new fob

Soz all, been offline for ages.

Dean is right but I have engine (poss electrics) problems of my own.

Need a specialist to work on it but the previous guru now has a 'real' job running a Lotus-approved workshop.

Mission for early 2025 is to get it sorted.

To Toad - do you know who did it ?  If it was Bernard Scouse (Auto-Teknix), he probably had records of your wiring.  He goes as Thunderpants on SELOC.
