Elise S2 111R 2006

Hi Guys. 

I am looking to retrim my steering wheel but am unsure whether my Elise S2 111R 2006 has an airbag fitted or not. If it does, then I know I need to disconnect the battery beforehand. 

There is no 'airbag' text on the wheel itself which is leading me to think it doesn't but I'm not sure about this. 

Does anyone know?

My 111r 2006 definitely has a steering wheel airbag it's marked on the steering wheel. See pic but I've been told it's unusual.

I'm pretty certain that's not a standard wheel on a 2006. (I had a 2007 111r with the older style) 
 That's the facelift wheel that started in 2008.

Just re-read your question and I changed the battery on mine (eg disconnected it) witrhout any issues, so I'm sure it was non-airbag.

My old MY06 111R did not have an airbag.

I fitted a Momo Race wheel on a removable boss, and it's a great wheel.

My '06 Exige was also none airbag, much more attractive wheel than above (apologies poster), Still replaced it with a smaller momo though "like driving with a side plate" was my dads comment !!
