dobber82
Another one ... just looked at the engine and noticed the attached hose isnt within the clip ... I am guessing it should be!?!
timbo
I may be seeing this wrong, here, but it looks to me like the hose itself is in the wire clip - it's just the odd length of overbraid sleeving that isn't?
richbk
Thats a precision cut, perfect length overbraided sleeve i am sure.....just probably on the wrong hose !!. Yes as said the clip is holding the hose fine, its a cleaner fit just placed over the hose rather than trying to clip the sleeve too. You could add a wrap of heat resistant black tape to the ends of the sleeve if you want to ensure it remains in situ over time.
MG4Lotus
Is the sleeve meant to prevent the hoses rubbing together? The other hose, should that be fully seated? and clipped?
Lithopsian
That is the vacuum hose to actuate the supercharger bypass valve. Doesn't need a clip. You could try seating it more fully if you want, but should be OK as is. I don't think most Exige 350 owners work on their cars much, so technical knowledge is probably a bit thin on the ground. Not sure why the other hose is sleeved. Do the two hoses touch?
