Hi.Is the rover k series engine just a normal motor ie like whats in a mg tf ? When fitted to a lotus s2 elise

Or do lotus change the internals ?

Mine as a super charger and the paperwork that came with it in 2004 says lowered compresion with shorter conrods think rest is standard .

But does standard meen just a normal rover engine .

Yes it is a standard k series engine as per the MG TF, Lotus didn't change the internals.

I think i will stay with my original plan then and take mine on a trailer to have my cambelt done.

I dont know if or when it was changed I dont want my engine going bang as I know the internals on mine were changed when having charger fitted by turbo teknics .

Good plan. Lotus recommend the cam belt is changed every four years even on cars doing low mileages.

TT converted supercharged elises are very rare, I would love to see yours. Are you going to bring it out to one of our Sunday morning meets in Derbyshire?
